Today we have uploaded a couple of new widgets. Widgets are small applications which can be added to your sidebar and show some information.

Widgets added:

1. Born On This Day – shows the famous people born on this day

2. Social Homes – allows you to add links to your profiles on Social Networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter

3. FlashTime – displays a little clock on your sidebar

4. Flickr Images – shows images from your Flickr account

To add widgets to your sidebar go to:

1) Dashboard -> Appearance (can be found on the left) >> Widgets (under Appearance).

2) Click “Add” on the widget you would like to add to your sidebar.

3) Configure the widget by clicking “Edit” button (on the right)

4) Click “Save” button.

That’s it! Widget is now added to your sidebar.

Today we have a couple of news:

1) We uploaded some new designs to WordMess and hope you’ll like them.

2) We activated the so-called “PicZip” plugin on all blogs.

Whats PicZip?

Now, on your “Write Post” screen you will see this small icon . What it allows you to do is to upload a *.zip file containing pictures in any of the most popular formats (png, jpeg, jpg, gif). It then opens your zip file and gives you the code that you can copy/paste to your post.

This allows you to upload hundreds of images in a couple clicks without having to upload every single one separately.

3) We also finished our upgrade process of WordMess and hope the new interface works as intended. Please do report all bugs to us via the Help Desk which can be found in your Control Panel.
